Dave the Horn Guy

Yesterday I got the opportunity to photograph Dave the Horn Guy. If you haven't heard of him, go watch some YouTube videos:-) He's pretty amazing. He came to Central College for our opening day with new students.

I'm SUPER lucky that our friend Justin was in town this week, and he let me take pictures of him:-) You may notice that these are a lot sharper than my previous portraits. Can you guess why?? Yeah, I used a tripod. I was really hesitant to use a tripod because I didn't think it'd work well since I like to move around and change perspective a lot. But I was pretty pleased, and I'm IN. LOVE. with how much more sharp these photos are than the ones I've been taking lately. So, tripod it is from now on, until I can afford a better lens anyway:-) THANKS JUSTIN!

It wouldn't be a Karilyn Sanders shoot without feet:-)

Just Peachy:-)

I bought these Colorado peaches yesterday. A couple of guys were selling them out of their truck. These are the best peaches I've ever eaten. in. my. life.

A heart for Kathy <3

I think that exposure is the element I have the most difficulty with right now. Practice, practice, practice...

Coronado 3

These first two pictures make me laugh:-) Evan is doing the "middle school" boy pose. Allison didn't know what to do for the first picture. Then I said, "middle school girls cross their arms". I love the awkwardness.

Even though this picture is painfully blurry, I love it:-) And don't worry, I've been reading up on tips to reduce camera shake in the future!

Coronado 2

Second group of Coronado pics. Group three tomorrow!

Coronado Heights 1

Of course you remember Allison from the last two posts:-) We recruited some of her friends to come this time and do a photo shoot at Coronado Heights (one of my favorite places in Kansas). This was really good practice for me, because I now had FOUR people to think about, in addition to all of my settings, which I had to change every 2 seconds because the sun was going down so fast! This is the 1st group of pictures. Stay tuned for two more!
