Newborn Portraits!

3 days old.

It doesn't look like it here, but her cry is so soft and sweet:-)
It's light and airy, and made me laugh because it was so cute!

Baby with her aunt:-)

I made these headbands for the shoot. So easy and adorable, I might just start selling them with
Onesie Wonderland!

Love this headband:-)
Baby and Daddy!

I also learned how to knit on double pointed needles just to make this hat! It was the first hat I ever made, and it was kinda funky in the back, but it fit her and it looks adorable:-)

Last time you saw this family was when baby was still cookin'!
I think she turned out pretty good.
Little V was awake for this whole shoot:-) Of course that meant I couldn't put her in a ton of cute positions like a little baby doll, but I've learned to expect the unexpected, especially with babies! We may do another shoot in another week or two, to see if she'll fall asleep for a while:-) However, I think I've found a direction for my photography. I really would love to specialize in capturing the process of motherhood: pregnancy, birth, newborn, and baby/toddlerhood:-) That may be even a little too wide of a focus, but I think it will take a lot more experience in these fields to figure out how I'd like to narrow it down.

If you're having a baby soon and are interested in getting newborn portraits, I'd love to talk with you! They will be taken in your own home, so momma and baby don't have to stress out about going anywhere. All you need is a window for natural lighting!
Send me an email for more information.

Senior Portraits!

Here's my first attempt at senior portraits:-) I got lucky too, because this girl has an inner-supermodel mode that just kicks in at all the right times!

Love this dress!

How cute is she?!

Thanks to Chuck Vetter for lending us this amazing 1950's microphone!

Yay for fall!

Thanks Carissa for being such a great model! I hope these remind you of your care-free life as a senior in high school:-)

Goodbye Kitten Formerly Known As Caution:-)

I found him a home! His new owner picked him up yesterday. But, before he left we took some snapshots to remember him by:-) Pretty much sums up his personality...

In other exciting news, I finally got my remote shutter release in the mail!!! Yay! It came via Air Mail straight from Hong Kong. Now I can take pictures of Melvin and myself together without having to use the timer, and messing around with focus. Now I just press the button halfway down until it autofocuses, and then all the way down to take the picture:-) SO MUCH EASIER!

It's Official!

Got this in the mail a couple weeks ago, and I'm just now getting around to posting it:-)

Ah, it's good to be done.

New Camera Bag!

Taken with the good 'ol point-and-shoot:-)

I'm in LOVE with my new camera bag! It's an early birthday present from my parents-
oh how they love me:-) Up until now, I've been putting my camera and extra lens in my purse (gasp!) where it could have been easily scratched by my keys, pens, hair clips, etc. Now my camera will be safe and sound AND I can still put my wallet, keys, etc. in the same bag. Photography is so much more fun with a cute camera bag.

Thanks Mom and Dad!

(And thank you Jo Totes for making such a beautiful accessory:-)
